He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hayes and Rachael Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Eunice Marie Hayes; and his children, Robin Elliott, Eric Hayes (Jenny), Dwain Hayes and Christina Johnson (Bruce). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Faith Temple (5230 Glenwood Rd, Wilmer, AL 36587).
