He was predeceased by: his parents, Vester Smith and Nellie Vickery Smith; his wife JoAnn Smith; and his siblings, Randy Smith and Florence Deutsch.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Franks (Donnie "Burr"), Robin Curbow (Jeff) and Mike Smith (Sandra); his grandchildren, Michael Tucker, Kris Franks and Leslie Franks; his great grandchildren, Quentin Tucker, Lexi May, Makayla May and Kylah May; and his sister Helen Martin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
