He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Scott; his parents, Carless Scott and Frances Scott; and his brothers, Marion, Terry and Lloyd Scott.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Flynn and Clarence Scott; his daughter Lynette Holloway; his grandchildren, Dylan Gilbert (Kali), Dalaina Hayes (Zack), Abby and Mason Holloway; and his great grandchildren, Aurora and Magnolia Gilbert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church (1960 US-43, Winfield, AL 35594). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of James to support scholarships for the District 5 Pocket of Enthusiasm Annual Retreat, a cause close to his heart (James Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund) at/http://www.gofundme.com.
