She was predeceased by : her parents, Rufus Theron and Sally Elaine Fields of Brilliant, AL.; her son David Howard Stricklin; the father of her children Howard Edward Stricklin; her great grandchildren, Kinnison, Walker and Garrett Whitehead; and her pet Sadie.

She is survived by : her daughters, Amy Stricklin and Karen Markham (Michael); her grandchildren, Matthew Whitehead (Sheena), Brandon Pratt (Melanie), Charlotte Harris (Michael Isaac), Brady Pratt and Blake Holsonback; and her great grandchildren, Harleigh, Everly, Gage Whitehead, Watson Pratt and Baby Pratt.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel (981 AL-253, Winfield, AL 35594). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
