She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Felix Metzger and Hattie Mae Thomas Metzger; her sister Shirley; and her brother-in-law John Ellis. She is survived by: her husband Louie Dexter Smith; her children, Cindy Franks (Donnie "Burr" Franks), Mike Smith (Sandra) and Robin Curbow (Jeff); and her grandchildren, Michael Tucker, Kris Franks, Leslie Phillips, Quentin Tucker, Lexi May, Makayla May and Kylah May. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
