He was predeceased by: his mother Mattie Lee Finch Sanders; his grandson Nathan Kiern; his father William Sanders; his sisters, Dr. Shirley Sanders Letchman and Barbara Duchock; and his brother-in-law Johnny Duchock.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Leach Sanders; his children, Emily Sanders, Carol Sanders and Will Sanders (Nicole); his stepchildren, Lynn Kiern (Paul), Andrew Sharpe and Jeremy Sharpe (Michelle); his grandchildren, Andrew Sanders, Tyler Kiern and Aiden Sharpe; his brother-in-law Charles Letchman; and his sibling's children, Cynthia Letchman and Chuck Letchman. He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel (981 AL-253, Winfield, AL 35594). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at the Winfield City Cemetery.
