He is survived by: his children, Latrecia Taylor (Roger), Shekettie McAboy, LaCrisha McAboy (Bob), LaShonda Wilson and James McAboy, Jr. (Kenisha); his siblings, Eddie McAboy, Sr. (Shirley), Johnny Austin (Rose) and Dorothy Hawkins (Herbert); and his siblings-in-law, Mary McAboy, Vallie McAboy, W. C. Moore and Aubry Delaine. He is also survived by grandchildren; three (3) great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
