He is survived by: his wife Antoinette Brown Lewis; his children, Yolanda L. Lewis of Washington, D. C, Travaris Gholston of Atlanta, GA and Shankitta Barnes (Jarrett) of Mobile, AL; his granddaughters, Summer of Atlanta, GA and Honor Gholston of Atlanta, GA; his siblings, Howard Johnson (Tabrena) of Calera, AL and Ella Mae Hatcher of Bessemer, AL; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Bobbie Brown of York, AL; his brother Leonard Brown (Terra) of Hueytown, AL; his brother-in-law Marcus Brown of York, AL; his sister Sherry Long (Kelvin); his brother-in-law Joseph Powell of Hartford, CT; and his close friend James Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
