He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Hallie and Nettie Glen Harris (Redding); his siblings, Leon Burton Harris and Wanda Jane Mashburn (Harris); and his daughter Pamela Leigh Dobbs (Harris).
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Harris of Bryant, Arkansas; his sons, Steve Harris (Brenda) of Alexander, Arkansas and Joel Harris, Sr. (Patti) of Tye, Texas; his brother Dillard Harris of Bandera, Texas; and his grandsons, Luke Harris, Josh Harris, Joel Harris, Jr., Brandon Dobbs, Matthew Dobbs and Taylor Dobbs. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel (1022 N 2nd St, Merkel, TX 79536). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stith Cemetery.
