With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carmath A. Phillips of Alexander, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2025 at the age of 88. As Carmath departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Carmath may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Carmath leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Phillips and Lillian Phillips. He is survived by: his daughters, Tonia Ray (Chuck), Shana Thornton (Chad) and Erica Bradshaw (Robby); his siblings, Barbara Rogers, Charles Phillips (Glenda) and Tracy Phillips; his granddaughter Katrina (Drake); and his close friend Janice Holder. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
