He was predeceased by: his parents, Lovette Parnell and Mairbeth Parnell; and his grandparents, Morris, Connie James, Ralph Parnell, Ruby and Dick Childers.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa; his brother Keith; his stepmother Ura Mae Parnell; and his children, Laura Jackson (Malik), Joey Kaar (Joann) and Hannah Wells (Remy).
