He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brewer and Syvile Brewer (Holloway); his daughter Janie Kosier; and his siblings, Sunnie, Jimmy Dale, Billy, Verle Brewer and Edna Frahm.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Brewer (Miller); his sons, James Brewer (Ann) of Dyer and Robert Brewer (Kaliee) of Alma, Arkansas; his son-in-law Rocky Kosier; and his siblings, Linda Martin and Robert Brewer Jr.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
