She was predeceased by: her parents, Clint E. Upshaw and Clara Upshaw (Richardson); her husband Hobert Jackson Shores; her daughter Sylvia Kay Smith; and her siblings, Glennie R. Linstrot and Allen C. Upshaw.
She is survived by: her sisters, Winnie M. Beal and Patsy Ann Foreman; and her grandson Johnathan Smith. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ocker Funeral Home of Alma (917 US-64, Alma, AR 72921). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery (522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
