With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mike Jester of Alpine, Arkansas, born in Glenwood, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Harlis Jester and Betty Duggan Jester; his brother Rodger Jester; his former wife Peggy McKinney Jester; and his pet Sambo.
He is survived by: his wife Laurie Jester of Alpine; his daughter Cindy Cook (Mikey) of Daisy; his grandchildren, Jessica Tucker (Josh), Casandra Cook and Brian Michael Cook (Madie); his great grandchildren, Lillie Jo, Sadie, Lylah, Maggie of Landry, JJ and Case; his sons, Bryan of Alpine, Andrew Massey of Alpine and Tyler Massey of Alpine; his sister Stacy Allen (Wayne) of Magnolia; his siblings-in-law, Tim Robertson, Marc Wernikowski, Greg Baldwin and Diantha Towery; his aunt Sue Wisner; his uncles, Carlos Duggan and Lester Jester; and his nephews, Matthew Allen and Robert Woodall. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel (209 N 3rd St, Glenwood, AR 71943). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
