He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Dell Blackwood and Alfred Bryan Hickman; his wife Annie Lee Smith; his son Larry Hickman Sr. (Johnette); his grandson Richard "Richie" Hickman; and his siblings, Gladys Henderson, Mary Punte-Banning, Nadine Farmer, Milbren Hickman (Marjorie), Troy Steele (Shirley) and Marion Lee Steele (Lois).
He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Smithpeters (Don), Kay Welch Whatley (Johnny) and June Jester Wolfe (Mike); his siblings, Leo Steele (Betty), Mary Venable (John), Judy Pate (Roy) and Julia Imler (Billy); his daughter-in-law Johnette Hickman; and his grandchildren, Chris Smithpeters (Angela), Amy Masey, Erin Cathey (Casey), Joseph Jester, Laron Welch, Tonya Quarequio (Michael), Wayne Canady (Marilyn), Liz Gaither, Larry Hickman Jr., Johnathon Hickman, Nikie Hickman and AJ Wolfe. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
