With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Gene Hastings of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, born in Laneburg, Arkansas, who passed away on January 13, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Ollie Mae Bowen Hastings; his former wife Rebecca Dempsey Hastings; his wife Esther Thrasher Hastings; his son-in-law Jackie Yancey; his granddaughter Jina Moore; his great grandchild Reagan Hatcher; and his siblings, Matt, Winford, Cleo, Clemmie, Mattie Lee, Maudie and Bobbie.
He is survived by: his son Donald Gene Hastings (Mary) of Moro; his stepson Jimmy Thrasher (Joyce) of Gurdon; his daughters, Glenda Sue Yancey of Cabot and Dianna Lynn Parten (Ralph) of Nashville, TN; his stepdaughter Kathy Freeman (Phillip) of Sparkman; his friend Juanita Williams; and his grandchildren, Jimmy Don Hastings, Barry Hastings, Kim Dickerson, Jaclyn Knopp, Carrie Moore, Mandy Hall, Monica Walker and Rhonda Hatcher. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
