Edith Bennington Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Bennington of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, who passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Emerson and Thelma Mae Carpenter Christy; and her sister Jane McKay. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Bennington (Madeline) of Arkadelphia and Jim Bennington (Becky) of South Haven, MS; her brother Chris Christy (Beth Ann) of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Jack Bennington (Madalyn), Caroline Bennington, Spencer Bennington, Jay Bennington (Katie) and Lindsey Proll (John); and her pet Rosie. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Welch Funeral Home (202 S 4th St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923).
