She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil Skinner and Mildred Visger Skinner. She is survived by: her husband Richard Lynn LaVanway of Arkadelphia; her children, Rick LaVanway of Wasilla, AK, Sheila Dunlap of Niles, MI, Sherry Philbeck of Bismarck, Shelly Harris (David Hudnall) of Arkadelphia and Sally Blocker of Caddo Valley; and her sisters, Sally Walker of Advance, NC, Diane Wood of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Thelma Hallack of Holland, MI and Ellen Johnston of Johnson City, TN.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
