He is survived by: his children, John McMillan "Mac" Hobgood Jr. of Conway and Mary Hobgood (Darren Baker) of Okolona; his grandchildren, Seth Willmon (Abby) and Lizzie Willmon; and his sister Jamie Ward (David) of Okolona.
