He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hodge and Nannie Louis Hunter (McCaskill); his wife Charlotte Strickland Hunter; and his sisters, Nancy Rettig (Hunter) and Barbara Wasson (Hunter).
He is survived by: his children, Terri Hunter Bridges (Darrell) of Clarksville, Neill Hunter (Kim) of Madison, Alec Hunter (Margaret Lynn) of Arkadelphia and Dorothy Hunter Daniell (Toby) of Arkadelphia; his grandchildren, Rachel Walser (Bridges), Luke Bridges, Phillip Bridges, Hannah Terenzoni (Bridges), Darby Hunter, Charles Hunter, Hodge Hunter, Alexandria Breashears (Hunter), Seth Daniell, Nathan Daniell and Mollie Turner (Daniell); his great grandchildren, Emma, Brody, Charlotte Hunter, Hazel Hunter Storm, Claire, Lucy, Charlotte Walser, Ellis Terenzoni and Baby Breashears; his sister Pat Matthews (Hunter); and his siblings-in-law, Sarah Strickland and Virles Wasson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel (517 Clay St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Manchester United Methodist Church (898 Manchester Rd, Arkadelphia, AR 71923).
