She was predeceased by: her father Phil Lovato; her parents-in-law, C. M. and Odean Smithey; and her brother-in-law Mark Thompson. She is survived by: her husband Gary Smithey; her son Frank Smithey (Katie); her grandchildren, Trent of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. and Sofie Smithey of Arkadelphia, Arkansas.; her mother Bertina Lovato; her siblings, Rosemary Sluder (Carroll), Ruth Thompson of Delta, Colorado and Robert Lovato (Angela) of Grand Junction, Colorado; her sister-in-law Sheryl Money (Nick) of Searcy, Arkansas.; and her siblings' children, Ancelin Perez, Alicia Carrasco, Andrew Lovato, Julie Gomez, Ashley Varner, Ben Thompson, Donnell Hale, Amber Freeman, Charlie Money and Garrett Money.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Temple Assembly of God Church (3509 Pine St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923).
