It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lou Simpson of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Lou may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her father Ed Markham; her grandmother Runyan (P. W. Ligon); her husband L. A. Simpson; and her sister Pat Fisher. She is survived by: her children, Greg Freeman of New Braunfels, Texas and Sonya Bridges (Thomas) of Bella Vista, Arkansas. She is also survived by two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
