He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Monroe and Cory Mae Cooper Ramsey; and his siblings, Vernon, Everett, Herman Ramsey, Berniece Booth and Jaquetta Ramsy.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Smith (Heidi) of Arkadelphia and Kara Boring (David) of Amity; and his siblings, Max Ramsey of Texarkana, Joyce Ankrum of Malvern, Letha Tipping of Dallas, Carol Buie of Malvern and Reba Ramsey of Dallas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
