She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse James and Mary Upton Penter; and her siblings, Sammy, JP, Bertha, Alice, Rosalee and Lorene.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Chaffin, Sr. of Arkadelphia; her sons, Barry Chaffin (Diane) of Austin, TX, Kenny Chaffin (LeAnna) of Caddo, OK and Bill Chaffin, Jr. (Monika) of Huntsville, AL.; and her grandchildren, Barry Chaffin, Jr., Jason Chaffin, Kenna Lee Smith, Micah Chaffin, Andy Goodman, Jeanette McWhorter and Zack Chaffin. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Faith Missionary Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
