With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mack Thompson of Ash Flat, Arkansas, born in Little Rock, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 15, 2026 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Thompson and Allean Thompson (Lively); and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his wife Ella Van Thompson (Hyslip); his daughters, Amy Trivitt (Tommy) of Ash Flat and Kris Thompson of Paragould; his goddaughter Ashley Witt Shelton (Bryan) of DeQueen, Arkansas; his son John Thompson (Toni) of Paragould; his granddaughters, Rachel Self (Tyler) and Rylie Trivitt (Jacob Jones); his great grandchildren, Nolan and Blair Self; his brother-in-law Johnny Ray Hyslip (Barbara); his nephew Jason; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emma (Eli), Owen and Hayden; his nephew Grant (Kristen); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Trace and Reid. He is also survived by other relatives and a multitude of great friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to Ash Flat United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
