He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard McChord and Margaret McChord (Humes); and his son Jeffery McChord. He is survived by: his wife Karen McChord of Ashdown; his children, Mark McChord and Danielle Smith; his siblings, Larry McChord of Ashdown and Elizabeth Hurley of Hendersonville, NC; his grandchildren, Tyler, Brendon, Aurora McChord, Nichole Shank, Timothy, Kaitlynn and Veronika Smith; and his great grandchildren, Sirenna, Athena, Bennett Shank, Anakin, Jason and Baby Smith.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Madden Funeral Home - Ashdown (371 N 3rd St, Ashdown, AR 71822).
