She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Hooks and Rubie Hooks; her siblings, Dorothy Newton, Gertrude Palmer, Sylvester, Percy and William Hooks; her husband Virgil Murphy; and her children, Kevin Murphy (Justina) and Evelyn Still (Eziekiel).
She is survived by: her aunt Georgia Mae Jones of Hot Springs, AR; her sister Shirley Stidham of Tulsa, OK; her children, Vince Murphy (Olivia) of Fort Wayne, IN, Regina Murphy of Fort Washington, MD, Yvette Murphy and Yvonne Murphy of Ashdown, AR.; and her grandchildren, Tasha Bennett of Houston, TX, Anthony Murphy of Memphis, TN, Vincent (Nia), Kristin (Hugo), Martinez of Elmhurst, IL, Raven Harris and Rya Murphy (Fort Washington, MD). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
