He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Calloway Boren and Reba Fronabarger Boren; and his brothers, Jamie "Jimmy" Don Boren and Bobby Lee "Nubbin" Boren. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Marilyn Boren; his children, Lisa Harris, Phillip Boren (Paige) and Richey Boren (Sharon); his grandchildren, Holly Leggett (Stephen), Christopher Harris (Mikayla), Jacob Boren (Hannah) and Emily Brown (Jody); and his great grandchildren, Owen, Walker Brown and Stevie Reese Leggett. He is also survived by nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Dennis worked his entire life as farmer in the Atkins Bottoms and made many contributions to the Agricultural Community.
