With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Diana Lynn Barefield of Atkins, Arkansas, born in Appleton, Arkansas, who passed away on April 24, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Diana has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate our lives in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hobert Blackwell and Ruthie Edith Rainwater Blackwell; and her brothers, Raymond Blackwell and William Blackwell, Sr.. She is survived by : her husband Joe Barefield; her son Alvin Blackwell; and her sisters-in-law, Melinda Blackwell and Murielene Blackwell Rains. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lemley Chapel (1401 N Church St, Atkins, AR 72823). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
