He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Hartwick and Mary Ellen Hartwick; his siblings, Billy Wayne, Terry Lynn Hartwick and Anna Sue Hartwick; and his nephew Larry Joe "LJ" Hartwick.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Lou Hartwick and Larry Joe Hartwick (Angela); his sister-in-law Marie Earls; his nieces, Liberty Nelson and Tamara Hartwick; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Colton Earls, Case Earls, Taylor Boner, April Rose, Kinley Kling and Adley Kling.
