He was predeceased by: his parents, Gottlieb Christie and Burnell Wright Christie; and his brother Charles Christie. He is survived by: his siblings, Gary Christie (Wanda) of Russellville and Charlotte Christie of Atkins; and his siblings' children, Sarah Christie Martindale of Mesquite, Texas, Aaron Christie of Russellville and James Christie of Russellville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in his honor be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
