It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Gene Wimbley of Aubrey, Arkansas, born in Marianna, Arkansas, who passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Ed Wimbley, Sr. and Earline Wimbley; his wife Catherine Maxwell-Wimbley; his siblings, Otis Wimbley, Willie Ed Wimbley, Jr., James Wimbley, Henry Wimbley, Eva Moore and Genny Mae Conley; and his siblings-in-law, Carl E Maxwell and Brenda F Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Louis Gene Wimbley, Jr., Bernard Maxwell and Cynthia Moore; his sisters, Naomi Norman and Lena Jones; his grandchildren, Nylah Wimbley, Kayla Maxwell, Kaitlyn Maxwell, Jyrah Maxwell, Demitrie McGary, Stella McGary, Dominique Moore, James Moore, Jamari Moore and Jamyluv Moore; his mother-in-law Hertha Maxwell; his siblings-in-law, Cynthia Thomas (Rod), Garry Maxwell (Gloria) and Willie Maxwell (Sandra); his nephews, Larry Banks (Wanda), Melvin Stanley, Jason Wimbley and Eric Wimbley; and his niece Barbara Edwards. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
