William Hart wrote a sympathy message

“11/12/22-I have just learned of the passing of Jay. I met Jay and his then wife, Kathy, while working for NBC in Memphis. Jay, Kathy, Marilyn (my wife) and myself would take Sunday trips around Tennessee on Sundays accompanied by a jug of bloody mary's. I also spent time with Jay at his parents home-Thanksgiving once-and duck hunted with Jay and friends in the bayou. Jay is the Godfather to one of my daughters. I am sorry the years passed between us. Bill Hart”
