We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2023, at the age of 82, Brenda Barens of Avoca, Arkansas, born in Clarksville, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Newt Jessie Smith and Virgie Othel Nuckolls Smith (Nuckolls); her husband Buford C. Barens; her grandson John Edward Woods, Jr.; and her siblings, Lillie, Mary, Martha, McKinley, Junior, Leon, David and Herschel.

She is survived by : her son John Edward Woods, Sr. (Ruby); her great grandchild Madison Rose Woods Echols; and her stepchildren, RuthAnn Cooper, Reba Mize and Darrell Barens.
