He was predeceased by: his parents, Vona Harpole and Paul Shoup; and his wife Geneva Owens Shoup. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Foreman, Dale Prewitt (Velvet), Jane Vick (Carole LaRose) and Randy Vick (Sherry); his children, Elizabeth Demers (Mark Demers) and Darrell Shoup (Brooke Shoup); and his grandchildren, Karmen Shoup and Aidan Shoup.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Johnny's name to the NEA Humane Society (6111 East Highland Drive Jonesboro, AR 72401).
