Marie Hix Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Hix of Batesville, Arkansas, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Simpson and Justina Haddock Simpson; her husband Charley Hix; her siblings, Hurbert Simpson of Batesville, Gene Simpson of Batesville, Pearl Lockamy of Michigan and Maca Daniel of Washington; and her close friend Claudia Clem.

She is survived by: her sons, Steve Hix (Carol) of Little Rock, Dennis Hix (Betty) of Greenwood and Charley Hix, Jr. (Pam) of Batesville, Arkansas; her sister Bertha Rounds of Batesville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hardin, Courtney Martinez of Little Rock, Jordan Hix of Connecticut, Jonathan Hix of Batesville, Brandon Hix of Broken Arrow and Brittany Hix of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her great grandchildren, John Ostie, Graham, Lincoln, Caroline Martinez of Little Rock, Hudson, Jude, Nolan Hix of Connecticut, Bailey Hix of Oklahoma, Payton and Greyson Moser of Batesville; her close friends, Sharon Ward and Carolyn Watkins of Batesville; and her nephews, Greg Simpson and David Rounds. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the North Heights Church of Christ (200 Warrior Rd, Batesville, AR 72501). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
