With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Mitchell of Batesville, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 15, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Leonard and Nona Leonard (Edwards); her sisters, Fayrene Stewart and Dorothy Caraway; and her grandmother Kay.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Gaylon Mitchell; her sons, John Michael Mitchell (Tracey) and Paul Gregory Mitchell (Valerie); her grandchildren, Katherine Wray McGee (Eric), John Matthew Mitchell (Brittany), Harrison Dormady Mitchell and Jack Dormady Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Judah Scott McGee, John Harvey McGee and James Mitchell McGee; and her siblings, Carolyn Courtney and Gary Leonard.
