He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Coles and Mirl Coles; and his wife Betty Young Coles. He is survived by: his daughter Marie Phillips; his grandson Brian Phillips; his granddaughter-in-law Regiane; his great grandchildren, Riley Phillips and Murilo Costa; and his sister-in-law Kathy Varnell.
