He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Lloyd Sorrells and Zola Launius Sorrells; his wife Mary Sue Sorrells; his daughters, Carol Sorrells and Dorothy Sue Coke; his siblings, J. L. Sorrells, Charles Dean Sorrells, Clifford Sorrells, Rosa Lee Mosley and Pauline Pennington; and his great grandchildren, Korbin Castleberry and Jade Elise Moore.
He is survived by: his son Lynn Sorrells (Bonnie) of Holly Springs; and his grandchildren, Mary Ivy (Jarrod) of Glenwood, Scott Coke of Hot Springs, Justin Castleberry (Sydney) of Magnolia, Johnny Castleberry (Brooke) of Donaldson, Brittany Murphy (Leo) of Hampton and Elizabeth Sorrells of Holly Springs. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to White Oak Cemetery Association.
