He was predeceased by: his wife Tanga Lee Bowman-Evans; his sisters, Barbera Davenport and Lucille McKinzie; and his parents, William Evans and Jonnie Huffman.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Don Evans, Paula Crowder and Alan "Buddy" Evans; and his sisters, Linda Brown and Marie Lunsford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many grandchildren.
