She was predeceased by: her parents, James Henry and Pauline Thomerson Golding; her son Wesley Smothers; her husband Charles Smothers; and her brothers, Samuel Golding, William Golding and Steve Golding.
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Smothers Hawkins; her daughter-in-law Debra Smothers; her grandchildren, Kacey Hopson (Quincy), Spencer Hawkins (Taylor), Sophie Smothers and Claire Smothers; her great grandchildren, Kaya Castro, Annika, Quintin Hopson, Lilah, Hadlee and Ellie Hawkins; her sister Gloria Phillips; and her friend Alyce.
