He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Nelson and Priscilla Thompson Nelson; the mother of his children Henrietta Atchley Nelson; his daughters, Brenda Hardin (John) and Patricia Berry; his grandson Hunter Lee Mills; and his brothers, Josh Nelson, Floyd Nelson, Beecher Nelson, Franklin Nelson, Bud Nelson and Harvey Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Gerri Nelson of Benton; his daughter Loretta; his sons-in-law, Bobby Mills of Sheridan and Mark Berry of Sheridan; his grandchildren, Landon Mills (Allie), Randy Rhodes (Jamie) and Renea Wilken (Eric); his great grandchildren, Sloane Mills, Stevie Mills, Cameron Rhodes, Colton Rhodes, Molly Miller and Kelly Cruthis; and his friend Sheridan Church. He is also survived by 6 great great grandchildren.
