He is survived by: his wife Kennie Birch; his sons, Christopher Michael New (Tricia) and Bill Atherton (Roxie); his grandson Joseph William Birch; and his sister Mary Jane Wygal (Brian). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
