He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester "Buddy" Hampton and Mary Elizabeth Hefner; his niece Catherine Lynn Neinaber; and his nephew Nathan Thomas Vaughn. He is survived by: his sister Gail Hampton Vaughn; his nieces, Mary Frances Friedl and Jennifer Louise Carr; and his nephew Edwin Noel Barron III.
