He is survived by: his sons, Chris Hampton (Robin Hampton) and Blake Phillips (Sarah Phillips); and his wife Dianne Hampton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
His legacy includes installing the first computer in Arkansas for the International Paper Company in Pine Bluff, a milestone that foreshadowed his future contributions to the technology field.
