He is survived by: his children, Erica Scammell (Jeremy), Tamara Woods (Jerold), Robin Arredondo (Archie) and Richard Covert; his sister Debbie Melton (Greg); his nephews, Corey Melton and Zachary Melton; his grandchildren, Cameron Beers (Jarrod), Tarynn Woods, Micah Woods, Jessica Burgess (Alex), Rachel Arredondo, Alexis Arredondo and Courtney Covert; and his close friend James Spears. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
