He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Augustus, Sr. and JoAnn Reaves Platt; and his siblings, Steve Platt, Gus Platt and Peggy Platt.
He is survived by: his significant other Pam Langston Platt; and his brothers, Eddie Platt, Charles Platt, John Davidson, Jr. (Debbie) and Quartet.
