He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Swaim and Jewell Swaim; his brothers, Joe Harold, Jim Bill and Larry; and his grandson Jared Swaim.

He is survived by: his wife Edith Swaim; his children, Fred "Freddy" Swaim Jr. (Paula) of Benton and Cindy Beaty (Donny) of Paron, AR; his grandchildren, Justin Calhoun (Rosa) of Benton and Rachelle Calhoun of Rochester, MN; his great grandchildren, Morrison Seamon and Bodhi Calhoun of Benton; and his pet Zoe. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas in memory of Fred M. Swaim Sr.
