He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Elmer Howell and Roena Reba Wright Howell; his former wife Carolyn Berryman; and his son Royce Gene Nix. He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Howell (Jenny) and Franklin Nix (Jennifer); his daughter-in-law Melissa Nix; his grandchildren, Blake Howell (Selina), Dollie Martinez and Raymond Nix (Chelsey); his great grandchildren, Trey Nix, Nick Martinez, Dominic Hernandez and Madelyn Nix; his brother Gary Howell (Donna); and his friend Eddie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith-Benton Funeral Home (322 N Market St, Benton, AR 72015).
