He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Nelson and Sarah Nelson; his wife Vicki Nelson; his daughter Christy Renfroe; his grandsons, Jack and Evan Renfroe of Lena, MS; his brothers, Bob Nelson (Becky) of Buckeye, AZ and Gene Nelson (Janis) of Ozark, AL; his sister-in-law Laura Keener of Punta Gorda, FL; Sarah Nelson of Ozark, AL. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to be sent in Memory of Howard Nelson to Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, LA where his grandson Evan is a patient.
